Day three
I have an admission to make: I cheated a bit today. I was supposed to give up my favourite drink today, and go for a 15 minute walk tomorrow. But I swapped them over, seeing as I'm going on holiday tomorrow and all the luggage would make walking a bit difficult.
And, today has been a beautiful, sunny day so far, so it would be a shame to have wasted it. Wouldn't it?
Noting this point, James (my PA) and I went for a walk around Northwick Park this lunchtime. And here's another thing I noticed. I've worked next to the place for almost 5 years, and I have only been for a walk there twice. Yikes!
Not that it's a particularly pretty park; it's simply half a mile squared of lawn with a few trees at the periphery, but it beats the concrete metropolis of Harrow Town Centre. Mind you, we noticed a kestrel flying from goal post to goal post.
So I have been for a walk for no reason and seen a bird of prey today. 2 things that wouldn't normally happen in the course of my usual waking hours. Quite good really.
